CattleCon24 is quickly approaching, and the buzz is growing for this upcoming event in Orlando. This year’s CattleCon will take place at the Orange County Convention Center from January 31 to February 2 and is chock full of vendors, speakers, and networking opportunities. It’s great to have this collection of minds come together to collaborate about cattle right in Dark Hammock Legacy Ranch’s Central Florida backyard. Keep reading to learn a little more about what you can expect from this year’s convention.

Cattle Chats
CattleCon is bringing the best of their game with a wide variety of speakers that are sure to bring great knowledge and expertise. Some examples of Cattle Chats, which occur on the trade show floor in a “Ted Talk” style, include “Tools, Techniques & Strategies to Improve Grazing,” from Rob Cook, Chairman of the National Grazing Lands Coalition, and “From Protection to Detection: BVDV’s Impact in a Vaccinated Herd” from George Perry, PhD, and Jim Rhoades, DVM, if you want to dive deeper into the health of your herd.

More Learning Opportunities
Looking to enrich your learning? NCBA’s Cattlemen’s College is once again bringing thought-provoking education right to CattleCon, where those enrolled in Cattlemen’s College can take part in the sessions right here. Learning Lounge is also a great place to engage with industry leaders in informal talks, with topics such as “Make More Cents of Your Premiums” and “Chaos Creates Chance for the US Beef Industry.”

Events

If you’re more of an engaged learner, there’s still plenty of opportunity for you. Enjoy the Pre-Con Ag Tour and visit multiple local ranches, network at the Hoppy Hour reception, or get moving at the BEEFit 5K and get a jumpstart on the day. Don’t miss the NCBA Trade Show for the latest in farming technology.

You won’t want to miss this chance to network and learn alongside so many neighbors in the beef industry. Next year, CattleCon moves to San Antonio, TX. All of us here at Dark Hammock Legacy Ranch are looking forward to a great convention at CattleCon24!
